Progress in Motion – A Visit from former Mayor Eric Clarkson of the .ga
We were honored to welcome Mayor Eric Clarkson to The Proctor construction site, located just one block from the Atlanta Beltline Connector. His visit was more than a check-in—it was a celebration of the vision that has transformed Chamblee over the past 18 years.
Mayor Clarkson has been the driving force behind Chamblee’s rapid redevelopment, integrating smart growth initiatives that have made the city a model for innovation and livability. As a former member of the ’sBoard of Directors, he’s championed regional connectivity and sustainable urban planning.
One of his most passionate causes? The rail trail and its seamless connection to metro Atlanta’s trail systems, including the BeltLine. His advocacy continues to shape a future where mobility, community, and green space intersect.
