Today’s always-on culture is taking a toll. “Bed rotting” can be both a symptom of mental health struggles and a cause of them. It’s hard for many parents and adults to fully empathize because we grew up in a very different world.

That's where Jessalynn King comes in. As a licensed therapist, she sees young clients’ burdens firsthand — some unique to their generation, some all too familiar.

Bullying, trauma, and anxiety don't take a summer break. And for many families, access to affordable mental health care is a barrier to getting kids the help they need.
