KPPB LAW is cheering on the next generation of entrepreneurs in El Paso for the 4th Annual P21 VMS Pitch Challenge! Our IP attorneys, Kermit Lopez and Luis Ortiz, JD, MBA, CLP®, served as Week 2 Instructors during the Pitch Challenge—sharing practical, real-world insights on how intellectual property can protect big ideas and fuel innovation. It’s energizing to help elevate startups and entrepreneurs as they bring bold visions into reality. We’re grateful for the opportunity to contribute, connect, and support the incredible talent driving these ventures forward. Best of luck to all the startups competing for funding—we’re rooting for every one of you and can’t wait to see what you create next!

Thank you to The Community Foundation Mission Investments Company in New Haven (part of The Mission Investments Company) for hosting a conversation about how capital fuels innovation across industries and what it really takes for ideas to secure funding in today’s venture capital landscape. The discussion, moderated by KPPB LAW’s Raj R. Mahale, featured a panel of leaders working at the intersection of entrepreneurship, venture capital, and investment. Thank you to Ted Dinsmore (SphereGen), Malik Okoro (Connecticut Innovations), Marie Rocha (Realist Lab), and Eric Seidman (Angel Investor Forum) for sharing your expertise with entrepreneurs, investors, and community leaders in Connecticut. These conversations help move ecosystems forward—connecting people, perspectives, and possibilities. KPPB LAW appreciates being a part of such a thoughtful exchange!
