A few things I’ve learned about Diwali:
• Diwali means “row of lights”
• The festival celebrates the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil.
• The lights are said to help the Hindu goddess of wealth, Lakshmi, find her way into people’s home to bring prosperity
• Diwali is as important to Hindus as the Christmas holiday is to Christians
