Duke at The Center: Civil and Human Rights and Our Future

I would like to extend the invitation to a special event celebrating a true pioneer: Dr. Claudius "C.B." Claiborne, the first Black athlete at Duke University.

Directed by Dr. Javier Wallace, a researcher of Race and Sports at Duke, Claiborne’s story is being told in a short film that has been selected for the Morehouse College Human Rights Film Festival. The film screening is scheduled for Saturday, September 27th at 3:00 PM at Morehouse.

Following the screening, we would be honored to have you join us for an exclusive mixer from 5:30 PM to 7:00 PM.

This is a unique opportunity to:
• Meet C.B. Claiborne and the filmmakers
• Learn about our plans to expand the short into a feature-length film
• Get a signed autograph from C.B. himself

The mixer will be held at the African American Hall of Fame, located on Morehouse's campus at Martin Luther King Jr. International Chapel, 830 Westview Dr SW, Atlanta, GA 30314.
