This year, New American Pathways celebrated two milestones: the graduation of 14 emerging leaders from immigrant and refugee communities across Metro Atlanta and five years of Civic Pathways leadership development.

Throughout the program, participants led projects focused on advocacy, community education, systems change, scam awareness, and increasing access to resources. Along the way, many also achieved personal and professional milestones, including promotions, leadership appointments, new business ventures, and professional certifications.

The Civic Pathways Graduation & 5-Year Celebration was a powerful reminder of what happens when leadership, opportunity, and community come together. We are proud of this year's graduates and grateful to the facilitators, volunteers, alumni, sponsors, and community partners who have helped make Civic Pathways a success over the past five years.

Congratulations to the Class of 2026. We look forward to seeing the impact you continue to make in your communities and beyond.

Welcome to Good News.

In a world that often focuses on challenges, we want to make space for something else: progress.

Every month, we'll share a few stories that remind us why this work matters. Stories of students reaching goals, families finding stability, individuals building confidence, and communities coming together to support one another.

Each month, we'll share a few stories of hope and progress from across our programs. Join us in celebrating the Good News, big and small.

Above & Beyond: Mustafa Suliman

This month, we're proud to recognize Mustafa Suliman for his outstanding dedication and impact on the Community Education Program.

Over the past six months, Mustafa has served as our Data and Digital Organizer Intern, providing invaluable support behind the scenes. From managing program data and invoices to maintaining digital tracking systems, he consistently approached every task with professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.
Throughout his internship, Mustafa contributed more than 300 volunteer hours and was always willing to step in wherever support was needed. His commitment helped keep the program organized and running smoothly during some of our busiest periods.

What truly set Mustafa apart was his consistency, eagerness to learn, and remarkable growth throughout his time with New American Pathways. He became an important member of the team, and as he concludes his internship on May 30, we want to thank him for his hard work, dedication, and the lasting impact he has made.

Congratulations, Mustafa, and thank you for all you've contributed!
