Forgotten Paws Dog Rescue

URGENT FOSTER NEEDED!
(Currently in Acworth but foster can be anywhere in the greater Atlanta area)

🐾This boy survived the county shelter.
🐾He almost died of an upper respiratory infection in the shelter.
🐾He survived a life threatening intestinal blockage.
🐾He is one of the lucky ones who made it into rescue but his eyes reflect confusion and sadness to me.

🐾🐾NOW HE NEEDS YOUR HELP! 🐾🐾

Teddy is 5 yrs old, 65 lbs, and such a cuddler! He loves other dogs but NO CATS!
**HE CAN’T STAY IN HIS CURRENT FOSTER BC HE WANTS DOESN’T LIKE THE CAT and it’s a dangerous situation for the cats. He is amazing w the other dogs big and small!

Teddy is housebroken, crate trained, and loves to go on walks. LOVES TO CUDDLE and is very smart! We will be putting and into training bc be is a resource guarder w people so no kids please.

He is up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. Sadly, he is heartworm positive. Once we get him settled somewhere, we will be doing treatment (no expense to the foster). This means he will have to be kept calm for two months.

Please message me if you are interested in fostering or fostering to adopt this sweet handsome boy. He needs someone w experience who can foster and bond with him.

*To dispel misconceptions: heartworms are not transferred dog to Dog, they are transferred by dog to dog. If your dog is on heartworm prevention, there is no chance your dog is going to get heartworm.

GUS IS IN THE SHELTER

5 years ago, we helped a guy get two cats neutered, and we micro chipped them. Gus has found himself in the shelter in Franklin, Indiana, just south of Indianapolis.

We have two options: Someone in that area adopts him or we find a Rescue that has space, and no one has space. Or we find transport and bring him back to the Atlanta area BUT WE HAVE TO HAVE A FOSTER HOME LINED UP!!

I’ve instructed the shelter to go ahead and put him up for adoption or for Rescue just in case they can find him somewhere to go but the responsibility is ours. This sweet baby is relying on us. The shelter is overflowing and he needs to get out ASAP!

CAN ANYONE HELP US WITH GUS?

Notes: He is super sweet, and the staff loves him. The people who abandoned him said they have had him for four years, and he was a four month old kitten when he left Georgia.

PLEASE MESSAGE ME IF YOU CAN HELP ME SAVE THIS SWEET BOY! He had a brother with him when I knew him, and I have no idea where Grizz is at this point.

I got a call today from Johnson County animal shelter in Franklin Indiana. Just south of Indianapolis. Someone was surrendering a cat that is microchips to us.

Back in 2021, I assisted a gentleman and neutering two cats and microchipping them before he moved to Indiana. At some point in the last five years, this cats has been given away, and the current owner is surrendering him to the shelter. These two brothers were kittens in 2021 so they’re about five years old now.

I’m not sure which one of these cats is the one in that shelter and I will hopefully get a photo of the cat later today.

If you or anyone, you know in Indiana or around there interested in giving this baby the wonderful forever home that he deserves, please reach out to me. I instructed the shelter to place him up for adoption or Rescue, but that I would work on it on my end as well.

I will be reaching out to rescues up there. Also once I get the details from the shelter with his ID number. I do not want this baby put down!
