Happy Open Enrollment!

Today marks the beginning of OE for the 2025 plan year for individuals and family.

As a reminder we do tend to fill up quickly as we get closer to the December 15th date for January 1st effective date deadlines. so book with us now and get on our schedule.

As a quick note, you likely have received an email from Georgia Access. This is the new platform for Georgia to enroll for ACA Coverage for individuals. Not much has changed, and there's nothing you need to do in preparation for your appointment :)

if you get your insurance through the marketplace and/or have a subsidy (You buy insurance individually, separate from a plan through your employer) Check and make sure you don't have anything requesting documents-- check your premium is what you expect it to be. We are getting an absurd amount of people who had their premiums adjusted automatically or got a letter stating they need to provide verification of income.

This on occasion is done randomly throughout the year by the marketplace (hc.g) and for some reason, this year appears to be affecting a lot of people.

They tend to send emails or/and mail notices-- they end up in people's spam, people don't expect the notices so they throw them away and then people end up with cancelations mid-year without a way to get their insurance back. (FYI your agent isn't notified when this happens, so it's a surprise to us too.)

TLDR; check with your agent/marketplace your premium hasn't changed and you don't need to provide verification of income. They are doing a widespread check on folks this year. don't get canceled.
