Rest easy, beautiful. For 7 years I’ve been your hairstylist, and our appointments were never just about hair. We talked about life, work, family, the kids, and our goals. We cried and prayed together. You always encouraged me to be better and to take care of my body and what I pour into it. No matter how you felt, you still showed up, and somehow getting your hair done brought you a little comfort in the middle of the pain.

I’ll never forget the time you cried in the car because I cut your bob and it was too long. We laughed so hard at your next appointment because “too long” was such an easy fix. Well, babe, guess what? Tonight you had the buss down middle part and the bob was a little long. If I had my shears on me, I would’ve hooked you up one final time.

Thank you for trusting me to be not just your hairstylist, but your safe space. I’m blessed God allowed our paths to cross and that I could walk alongside you in this season.
