I’ve been saying since I moved here that I was eventually gonna go harvest some clams from in front of my house and make something delicious out of them. Turns out I don’t have to suffer the backache of digging them myself when a few young lads are happy to trade us some if we let them unloaded their harvest on our shoreline!! Anyways, here are some pics of the beautiful soft-shell clams they gave us as well as the finished product, Amêijoas na Cataplana, a Portuguese style dish of Clams with Chouriço and Tomatoes, mine also features some local onions, fennel, and smoked paprika.

First of the season Maine Raspberries, crushed with a drop of lemon oil and a pinch of turbinado sugar, on top of some ultra rich Vanilla Custard. It might not be fancy, but it sure is delicious!!

About 18 months ago we had a huge flood inside our home in Maine rendering our whole house uninhabitable. It feels like it has taken forever, but our rebuild is complete and we are finally back in our happy place!! I’ll post some more pics of the before and after from the remodel so you can see just what we had to deal with, but for now here’s some happy pics from the last couple weeks. Hope everybody has a great weekend!!
