Transparent Woman

The Bible says that the enemy comes to "kill, steal and destroy," and that my friend, he did. Although God had knitted and formed me in the womb and had a hope and future for me-satan had a plan too. And his plan worked for a really long time. The day came though that I would finally realize what the biggest and deepest of all wounds were-"THE WOUND". It was the day I realized what he had stolen, what he had killed and what he had destroyed- or tried to. He had tried to steal who God created me to be. He had killed my right to be valued and loved and constantly endorsing it through abusive people. He had tried to destroy my soul. It went much deeper that just my idenity. It was my personhood, my core being, my spirit, personality, mind and even my body. He had attempted to steal ME! What I thought, how I felt, my "no's" even my "yes's" along with any opinions. He stole my voice my agency, my space my breath. He stole the love that I had a right to.

Men of God, Pastors and Leaders if you are in an institution in which women are encouraged to Lead and Pastor please don't betray us by sharing resources that are created with hate and vehemently oppose our institutional doctrine. This type of behavior only undermines what women all around the world are trying to accomplish for Jesus. I have received so many messages from other women who are not being supported in roles of Leadership. These are women, like myself who have paid the money and given the time to go through the process of becoming credentialed but are still being kept from their full potential and are receiving back handed comments and missed opportunities. There is no place for compromise. Let us be people of integrity. Let us challenge respectfully misunderstanding of scripture. Let us not be afraid of the crowd but uphold correct biblical teaching. Now if you are in an organization that holds to not having women in leadership, I have no beef with you BUT if you are in an organization that is supposed to support us and champion us in those roles, then do so- AT ALL TIMES-
