Your friendly reminder to file for Homestead Exemption 🏡 If you closed on your primary home in 2024, make sure to file for homestead exemption by April 1 2025!

What you need to know:
✔️Once granted the exemption is automatically renewed each year as long as you continue to occupy the home under the same ownership.
✔️The home must be your legal residence for all purposes, including the registration of your vehicles and the filing of your federal and Georgia income tax returns.
✔️You cannot file for homestead exemption on rental property, vacant land, or on more than one property.
