Collective Renaissance Georgia
"It's mental health that is the root of the issue..."
That right there 👆🏾 is a conversation our community doesn't have enough.
And we know how the cycle goes. Untreated pain becomes someone's "incident" on the news instead of the moment someone got help.
But here in Georgia, 95% of our counties don't have enough mental health providers, so even when folks do reach out, the support often isn't there.
That's why the people around us matter so much. Folks are way more likely to open up to somebody they trust—a friend, a family member, a neighbor—before talking to a professional.
If that's YOU, be that person. Be the one who checks in twice when the "I'm good" doesn't look or sound right. Normalize therapy in the group chat. Remind your people they're not alone.
It's Mental Health Awareness Month, but caring for our community is a year-round job. We take care of us. đź’š
