We Are LIVE! The new CoveBear website is nearly finished (just a little bit left to do) and has been published to the internet. This is the bottom part of the frontpage. Lots to see there, our online store plus info about wildflowers, bears, southern wildlife, deer, and reviews/comments, as well as our filmography by year. Every now and then highlighting someone's life work is a good thing. Frank T. van Manen what a great friend - has always been there for us when we were working on our bear documentaries through the years. Here is what he has been doing for the past few decades. Frank T van Manen, Ph.D. Frank van Manen is an emeritus ecologist with the USGS who blends his research interest in large carnivores with landscape ecology. Frank was team lead of the Interagency Grizzly Bear Study Team from 2012-2025 and he is continuing to work with the team.

"VOICES OF CADES COVE"- A MUST-SEE DVD COLLECTION!
The great thing about Cades Cove in Great Smoky Mountains National Park in East Tennessee is that it is continually offering up its stories, and all you have to do is go there and piece these little bits of history together. This 9-part collection is available singly or as a discounted set at our online store at www.CoveBear.com. (It is also offered at the Cades Cove Preservation Association Museum at the Historic Thompson-Brown House in Maryville, Tennessee, across from Blount Memorial Hospital.) Part 10 is in post-production now. If this project seems to be a huge undertaking, you are right, and as much as we offer, it is still not all told!

If you are planning on a visit or just can’t make it yet, you can experience Cades Cove just by peeking through our lens to see the beauty and diversity of Cades Cove, and by listening to our interviews with folks eager to share their family histories, and National Park Service staff eager to share their side of this sprawling history.

Only then, will you begin to understand the real Cades Cove.

Our website is currently under construction behind the curtains, but is fully functional (unless I mess up). After September 10 it may have a different look, but it will still offer lots of great subjects in the form of DVDs, books, wood carvings, tote bags and throw pillows, and beautiful tapestries to hang on your walls.

Since our DVD discs are the finest in the world, and must be imported, we made the decision in February to make a large investment in March 2025 in enough discs and cases to get us through the next couple of years. As it turns out, it was a wise decision, even if it did put a massive strain on the old bank account.

But by doing that, we can maintain our promise that our DVDs will not increase in price, and will not decrease in quality. If anything, they do decrease in price during our 3 sales each year for:

- Fourth of July ("May the Fourth Be With You"),
