Youth Theological Initiative

It's been a great month for YTI. It's been wonderful to connect with you, feel your love for this program through your generosity, and meet potential new scholars who are called to YTI's ideals.

Sometimes the right student just needs a little more time. Because of that, we’re extending our application deadline for the Youth Theological Initiative Summer Academy at Emory.

We have space for a few more young scholars who are ready to explore faith, their calling, and living in community.

If someone has been on your mind, this might be their moment. You know someone who belongs at YTI.

Due to the number of requests, the application deadline for the YTI Summer Academy has been extended. We will accept applications through March 15 and recommendation letters and transcripts through March 22.

We are recruiting rising 10th to 12th graders (current 9th to 11th graders) to join us for a two-week program on theological exploration housed on Emory's campus. Share this with young people, parents, youth ministers, teachers, and pastors: https://yti.emory.edu/yti-summer-academy.html

YTI honors the rich diversity of faith traditions represented in our community. Scholars leave with clarity, confidence, and respect for the complexity of belief, equipped to serve and lead faithfully within their own communities. Many will go on to help with youth groups, service, sermons, student leadership, or service work, like these YTI Interns.

The YTI Public Theology Internship offers graduates of the Summer Academy to explore topics related to their faith and the needs of their community in a year-long research project. We see our work as a partnership with the communities who raised them.

Their growth doesn’t stay at YTI. It follows them home to the communities that first nurtured them.
