Debbie Dickinson, a Jamaican entrepreneur and the founder of Thermabrand, aims to alleviate menopause symptoms for women. Her inspiration came from experiencing hot flashes herself and realizing the need for a more portable, technology-driven solution. With her daughter Markea Dickinson as a co-founder, the brand secured financial support from Google For Startups and has raised $1.3BM from investors. Their flagship product, Thermabrand Zone, is awaiting patent approval and offers temperature-regulating relief for menopausal discomfort, including for cancer patients. Featured in Forbes for disrupting the $600B menopause market, Thermabrand aims to address an area often overlooked, underfunded, and under-researched. Celebrating diversity, Thermabrand highlights the contributions of black founders and startups.
