Do you have a counter or table that seems to spontaneously GROW THINGS?
Having a place where "in-between" items like unpaid bills or packages ready to be sent is practical but you don't want them to take up the entire space. However, a designated area (basket, filing center, section of a table) where things of that nature go means you can hold yourself to only filling that space.
