Parmer Law

Second federal acquittal in a row.
And this one was wild.
My client was on video shooting into an SUV of DEA agents.
And we didn’t deny doing it.

I was sworn into the Southern District of Georgia in beautiful Savannah on the 60th anniversary of Gideon v. Wainwright — the case in which the Supreme Court held that the Sixth and Fourteenth Amendments guarantee a right of legal counsel to anyone accused of a crime.
And I’m excited to share I’m opening Parmer Law’s Savannah office on April 1st, on the third floor of the Bank of America Financial Center on Johnson Square. Though our firm will still be based in Atlanta, we look forward to defending federal criminal cases in the Southern District, in one of the prettiest cities in America.
Here’s to spring, new beginnings, and the next big thing!

It’s been a whirlwind year for Parmer Law and we’re only a month and a half in!
I’m teaching Advanced Criminal Trial Advocacy at Emory Law this semester, got to speak at the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Advanced Criminal Law seminar in Aspen, Colorado two weeks ago, presented on a panel at the Atlanta Bar Association a week before that, and still appear on CourtTV almost every Wednesday night.
Next week I’ll head to Las Vegas to serve as the chair of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyer’s Voir Dire seminar and am planning a mental health conference to be held in Nashville later this year.
Oh — and the firm will have some big news in coming months, so stay tuned.
P.S. You can keep up-to-date on all of my criminal defense adventures on Instagram () and TikTok (), where I’m a little more active with social media.
Hope your 2024 is off to a great start!
Just a reminder that I’ll be on COURT TV with these clowns tonight (and most every Wednesday) starting at 9 PM EST.

After 2.5 months of trial in federal court, I’m happy to say my client was acquitted of all counts in a 100-page indictment.
Less than 2% of federal cases go to trial.
Of those, over 80% result in convictions.
Consider this a reminder that a 0.4% chance is still a chance.

I’m in the middle of a multi-month federal trial 🙃 — but had the pleasure of being interviewed by Bold Journey Magazine right before it started. Here’s the feature, which covers a bit about my philosophy, background, and approach to criminal defense:
