While in New York City, I stopped by Sotheby’s headquarters on Madison Avenue, now housed in the iconic Breuer Building. Walking through the galleries is always inspiring, but today I had the added bonus of sitting in on a live auction in progress. Watching bidders compete for extraordinary works of art is a reminder that Sotheby’s isn’t just a real estate brand, it’s one of the most recognized luxury brands in the world.
From fine art and jewelry to rare collectibles and exceptional real estate, Sotheby’s has spent nearly 300 years connecting remarkable properties and objects with discerning buyers. Spending time at headquarters reinforces what makes this brand so special: a commitment to excellence, expertise, and a truly global reach.
Of course, I couldn’t resist wandering through a few more galleries before heading out. There is always something fascinating around every corner.
