Maido Sushi Restaurant / Child Studio

British design duo Child Studio has transformed a disused London post office into a contemporary Japanese restaurant. Located in Saint John’s Wood district near the famed Abbey Road crossing, the late modernist building provided a rich source of inspiration for the designers.

The interiors present a subtle blend of European and Japanese design influences. ‘Our aim was to rediscover and celebrate the unique history of this building and the neighbourhood’ - commented Alexy Kos and Che Huang, the founders of Child Studio. ‘The post office was built in the 1960s and our design pays tribute to London's modernist heritage of that era.

Panasonic Center / LDL Design

Panasonic Center Hangzhou is the third flagship store in the world after Osaka and Tokyo.

Panasonic Center, as an experience flagship store, unlike other flagship stores mainly specializing in offline sales, it is more focused on offline experience and interactive display in close range, so that consumers could obtain a more intuitive understanding of the products and brand itself, thus updating the image of the century-old Panasonic brand in their heart.

In this regard, after a close discussion with the project team of Panasonic, the design team decided to start from several directions within the extremely limited design time, so as to realize the business goals set by Hangzhou Panasonic Flagship Store.

Yan Ji You Flagship Store in K11 Guangzhou / Karv One Design

Once again, Karv One looked beyond the conventional design expressions of Jan Ji You and came up with an innovative design for the K11 store reflecting the inspiration of the “black hole and gravitational fields”.

Mystic black is the color of choice that is applied consistently through the whole multidimensional space. Interactive puzzles are embedded into the metaphorical space to appeal to the curiosities of the visitors for exploring a journey of innovation. It is also an embodiment of a unique aesthetic of design.

Spyder Flagship Store Gangnam / Jo Nagasaka + Schemata Architects

The architects designed a flagship store of the premium sky specialty brand Spyder in Seoul. They made a space expressing two contradictory characteristics of the brand, namely strong and exclusive luxury, and mobility that brings about constant changes.
