Did You Know? Rising grocery prices are one of the many reasons learning to garden is becoming increasingly important.

Growing your own fruits, vegetables, herbs, and spices can help families reduce grocery expenses, improve access to fresh and nutritious foods, and develop valuable long-term food sustainability skills.

Home gardening also allows families to take a more active role in their health and wellness while enjoying fresh produce right from their own backyard or patio.

Earlier today, DFOWW Incorporated (Daphany's Fabulous Objective Weekly Workshops), a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, proudly hosted supplemental food distributions through our community partners at Remedy In Atlanta and Growth Mindset Wellness P.C. in Stockbridge, Georgia.

Registration is now open for our upcoming Kids & Parents Gardening + Nutrition Workshop on June 27, 2026!

During this interactive workshop, families will learn: 🌱 Basic gardening techniques 🌱 How to grow fruits, vegetables, herbs, and spices 🌱 Container gardening for small spaces 🌱 Food sustainability concepts 🌱 Healthy eating and nutrition literacy

✅ All gardening materials and take-home supplies will be provided.
✅ A free catered lunch will be served to all registered attendees.

Space is limited, and advance registration is required.

Education + Nutrition = Empowerment 💚

Earlier today, DFOWW Incorporated, a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, proudly hosted a supplemental food distribution at the facility of our valued community partner, Growth Mindset Wellness PC, in Stockbridge, Georgia.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Mrs. Tiffany Bates, NP, and every volunteer who dedicated their time, effort, and compassion to helping support families within our community. ❤️

At DFOWW Incorporated, supplemental food distributions are only one component of our broader Write-Right Nutrition Program (WRNP).

Unlike a traditional food pantry or food bank model, the Write-Right Nutrition Program is a structured nutrition literacy and wellness education initiative designed to combine:
• Supplemental food assistance
• Personal care items and essential supplies
• Nutrition literacy education
• Gardening and food sustainability education
• Healthy eating guidance
• Grocery budgeting strategies
• Nutrition label comprehension
• Long-term wellness and self-sufficiency education

Our mission extends beyond simply providing temporary food access. We believe:

Education + Nutrition = Empowerment.

While emergency food assistance helps address immediate needs, our workshops are designed to help individuals and families develop practical skills and knowledge that may support healthier lifestyles, improved food sustainability, and better long-term household wellness outcomes.

As part of this educational program structure, supplemental food distributions are generally reserved for actively participating workshop attendees and registered program participants.

To help sustain program operations, educational materials, gardening supplies, facility costs, staffing support, participant resources, insurance expenses, and catered meals, the program includes structured participant investment fees.

Current workshop participation structure includes:

✅ Reduced Low-Income Participation Rates
• $25 — Single-parent or single-head-of-household families with children receiving SNAP or TANF benefits
• $40 — Two-parent households with children receiving SNAP or TANF benefits

✅ Standard Community Participation Rate
• $75 household investment fee for non-low-income households, which includes up to two household adults and household children

These participant investment fees help offset the substantial operational and educational costs associated with delivering structured community programming.

Organizations interested in establishing official partnerships with DFOWW Incorporated may request a Partnership Packet by emailing:

📧 [email protected]

Please note:
Organizations seeking to enroll clients or program participants into DFOWW Incorporated workshops should anticipate either:

• covering participant workshop investment fees on behalf of their clients, or

• coordinating collection of the applicable reduced low-income participant fees payable to DFOWW Incorporated prior to service delivery.

While donated meeting space and in-kind support are sincerely appreciated, operational program expenses associated with curriculum delivery, staffing, supplies, meals, transportation, insurance, and educational materials remain applicable and must be covered for services to be provided.

This educational approach is one of the many things that makes DFOWW Incorporated’s Write-Right Nutrition Program unique. We are not simply distributing food — we are working to empower individuals and families through nutrition literacy, wellness education, and practical life skills designed to promote long-term community health and sustainability.

Families who complete registration for our upcoming Kids & Parents Gardening + Nutrition Workshop Saturday June 27, 2026, may also become eligible to participate in upcoming supplemental food distributions connected to the program.
