A 10K at 99 years old. That was Betty.
Betty Lindberg ran nearly every peachtree Atlanta has hosted. This is year 57.
Betty passed away last month at 101 years old, after becoming one of the Peachtree’s most beloved traditions.
She didn’t even start running until she was 64, proving it’s never too late to begin something that changes your life.
Her last Peachtree was in 2024, when she crossed the finish line at 99 years old, still inspiring runners decades younger.
At the Peachtree Expo, there’s now a tribute to Betty alongside Atlanta running legend Jeff Galloway. Hundreds of runners have already stopped to leave messages, share memories and simply say thank you.
