You might not call yourself a caregiver…
But if you’re the one everyone calls,
the one managing the details,
the one holding things together behind the scenes—
this might be you.
So many people are caregiving without ever naming it.
And when we don’t name it, we often don’t seek support.
This post is your reminder:
what you’re carrying is real and it matters.
If this resonates, drop a 🤍 or share with someone who needs to feel seen.
And if you’re ready to explore this more deeply, we invite you into the room with us.

Very vulnerable post. Circa 2016. I was a junior at Spelman College being featured in a documentary, Noir, by my bestie .trenae .This was the first time in many years I had actually openly named how difficult navigating life without my mom had been. I still remember how I felt in this exact moment.
This project helped me realize how powerful creating a space for storytelling is and how much healing can take place in moments where you are called into a place of truth and vulnerability. Thank you to and .trenae for holding my hand, encouraging me, and witnessing me in a moment that was so healing.
This Mothers Day I’m reminded of my grief, my joy, my gratitude, and my village that has helped nurture me along the way.
10 years later and I’ve got to help bring to life a documentary for caregivers to be held. God is so kind and intentional.
Sending love to everyone today and Happy Mother’s Day to all the mamas. Y’all make the word go round 💐
