⚠️ Fiber Internet Service Alert – Englewood Area ⚠️

Customers in the Englewood area may currently be experiencing issues with our fiber internet service. Our Fiber Team is actively working to determine the cause and make the necessary repairs as quickly as possible.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while crews work to restore service. Updates will be provided as more information becomes available.

While lights, water or gas is being restored, you’re keeping the porch light on.
While trucks are on the road, you’re keeping supper warm.
While storms may roll through, your steady love keeps families grounded.

The work of serving a community doesn’t belong only to the ones in the utility trucks. It also belongs to the moms who comfort tired kids, carry on with bedtime routines, and keep home feeling like home until everyone makes it back through the door.

This Mother’s Day, Athens Utilities Board thanks every mother in our community for the quiet strength, sacrifice, and love that keep Athens shining.

Update 9:28 a.m. All power is restored. The cause of the outage was a squirrel.

We’re aware of a power outage affecting customers in the areas of Oak St, Chilhowee St, Georgia Ave, Ohio St, and one customer on Railroad Ave. Crews are currently en route and have not yet confirmed the cause of the outage.
