Mr. T was special. He will be missed 💙

The campus community is mourning the loss of Professor Emeritus James W. Thompson. Mr. T, as he was affectionately called, taught sociology courses at Tennessee Wesleyan for 35 years. Jim also served as NAIA Faculty Athletic Representative and Appalachian Athletic Conference Eligibility Chair for many years, earning him the NAIA Charles Morris Athletic Administrator of the Year Award.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 at Trinity United Methodist Church on Saturday, February 3, with Rev. Skip White and Rev. Don Morris officiating. Receiving of friends will be at 10:00 at Trinity.
