Five years ago, while preparing my childhood home for sale amidst a global pandemic, I wrote and produced the short film “Heart of Stone.” Inspired by the Jewish folklore of the golem, and exploring themes of identity and isolation, this film won the Director’s Choice and Audience Choice Awards at the 2023 Cinema Diverse Festival and was also shown at the 2024 LA Q***r Film Fest.
