Long ago, on a lake in the Julian Alps, fairies danced on a lonely rock. When the shepherds wouldn't protect their sacred ground, the fairies flooded the valley — and the rock became an island. ✨

Centuries later, a grieving widow at Bled Castle cast a bell in memory of her lost husband. It sank in a storm, and they say it still rings from the depths. The Pope himself sent a new bell to the island's little church — and legend holds that if you ring it three times, your wish comes true. 🔔

But here's our favorite part: to this day, grooms carry their brides up all 99 stone steps to that church. Make it to the top without setting her down, and tradition promises a long and happy marriage — sealed, of course, with a kiss.
