FCC Centennial

Plans are progressing for our Homecoming Celebrating the 100th Birthday of our beautiful church building on May 5th. Hopefully we will have every pew in the sanctuary, classroom and balcony filled. Invite your family, former church members, all church members, friends, everyone!! we will start with our worship service at 10:30, continue with a potluck lunch in the fellowship hall. The church will provide the meat and drinks. Rev. Jack Baldwin will present a history of the church. Following lunch we will go to the parking lot across the street for a concert performed by the 4Given Gospel Quartet. Come join us as we begin the Celebration.

Stayed tuned...this week things will begin to happen...what it will be is a surprise

Construction began on the present day First Christian Church Athens in 1919. It was completed in 1920. We are looking for any pictures, memorabilia, ... commemorating the last 100 plus years or people that have attended and events. We have a rich and blessed history. We have set up this page and the email account [email protected] to help people to add pictures. Also we will have a picture day (TBA) when pictures will be scanned at the church.
We also need people willing to serve on the Centennial Committee. If interested please let Susan know.
