Our custom-outfitted bus is equipped with Dakota Road safety kennels, constructed from military-grade polyethylene, as safety is a non-negotiable. Our kennels are designed for exceptional strength, impact resistance, and durability.
We are fully insured, CPR and pet first-aid certified, and intentional in every layer of care we provide.
While our hiking program is not classified as formal training, many clients report noticeable improvements in their dogs’ social behavior, confidence, and overall responsiveness. This is the result of our slow, intentional integration process paired with decades of combined experience and the structured nature of our pack hikes. Dogs are always outfitted with martingale collars and remain on 6-foot leashes at all times, with occasional additional length added for controlled exploration in streams, creeks, or riverbeds along trails. Our team is hands-on, attentive, and actively engaged at all times - there is no passive supervision here.
We don’t rush progress, we don’t cut corners, and we don’t compromise on safety. We meet dogs where they are and help them become the most confident, fulfilled versions of themselves.

One of our favorite things about Tails & Trails is the dedication our handlers bring to the dogs, every single day.
Here, Brad (human) and Ollie (canine) pause to take in a beautiful sunrise on the trail. If you know Ollie, you know slowing down isn’t really his thing. He’s usually all go, all the time. But sometimes the world is so stunning, even Ollie agrees it’s worth stopping for. 🍁🍂🌄🐾❤️
