Really Really Free Market Saturday
The Really, Really Free Market will meet this Saturday, July 11 (and the second Saturday of every month), from noon to 1:30 pm at Reese & Pope Park/375 Reese St. The RRFM is a community event that focuses on a temporary gift economy. It is community members coming together to help each other out to mutual benefit with no selling, trading, or bartering. Please bring any clean and usable items you have to pass on to others -- clothing, household goods, books, movies, toys, furniture, food, plants, art & craft supplies... anything! Or just bring your smile and come on by even if you have nothing to share this month. You might find a new treasure to take home or something you really need.
If you bring a donation, please try to arrive by 1 p.m. so there will be time for others to claim them. Please compost food in opened packages (CHaRM has compost bins for non-dairy, non-meat items). If you wish to offer extra-large items, please plan to stay until they are claimed as we cannot haul those away. We start packing up leftovers by 1:30 p.m. and drop the leftovers off at one of the local thrift stores or give them away on local Facebook sharing pages.
Come for the Freebies, Stay for the Community!
