The start of the school year is full of opportunities for students to get involved on campus and meet new people.
WelcomeUGA events are designed specifically for new students—don’t miss out!

Pro tip: encourage your student to leave their room door open while they’re in to signal they’re open to meeting others.

Residents may attend housing events to connect with others.

Laundry rooms are available in every residence hall, so students will have easy access right where they live. They’ll just need to bring their own detergent and supplies- no need to worry about quarters or downloading an app.

Pro tip: If your student hasn’t quite mastered laundry yet, now’s a great time to walk them through the basics (like what not to throw in with whites 😅). It’ll make those first few weeks a lot smoother!
