Researcher: Mental health issues often progress after brain injury Christine MacDonald, a brain injury researcher with the University of Washington’s department of neurological surgery, will discuss “Brain Injury & Psychological Health Following Combat Deployment: The Invisible Wounds of War” at Gonzaga University on Tuesday.

04/03/2019

We are looking for adults ages 18 to 80. Participants must speak English fluently, have normal vision and hearing (or corrected to normal), and speak clearly enough to be understood most of the time. You should not have a history of other neurological disease, like Parkinson’s or Alzheimer’s. The study will take about one to one and a half hours to complete, and involves us asking you some questions about things you remember and taking a few short tests. If you are a person with brain injury, we will request medical records. There are no risks to your health associated with this study, although you could become bored. Participants will be compensated $25 for their time.
