The Central Region Humanities Center invites you to their spring lecture. Ric Sheffield, professor Emeritus at Kenyon College will give a book talk titled “False Promises: The Struggle for Black Voting Rights in 1800s Ohio.”

The Ohio University History Department invites you to the Bake Peace Conference. This year’s theme is the State of American Power.

Brigadier General Mark Arnold will provide the keynote address on Thursday, April 16 at 7 PM in Schoonover 145.

The conference panels will be on Friday, April 17 in Alden 319. Panel 1: Power at Home will be from 10 AM to 12 PM. Panel 2: Power Abroad will be from 3 PM to 5 PM.

These events are free and open to the public.
