Ok my good people...summer is coming! The heat and humidity can make workouts feel tougher, but a few smart habits can keep you performing at your best.
1. Stay hydrated before, during, and after your session—don’t wait until you feel thirsty. Consider drinking more water (80-100 ounces) during the day. Remember...you can't truly hydrate during a workout.
2. Wear lightweight, breathable workout gear and bring a towel to stay comfortable. We'll continue to provide iced towels in the gym when it starts to get hotter.
3.Take short breaks between intense sets and listen to your body if you feel overheated. Lower your intensity on some days. Your coaches will help moderate the intensity of the workouts. Listen to them. Tell your coaches when you aren't feeling 100%...and let them help you navigate the workout.
4. Fuel up with water-rich foods like fruit and keep electrolytes balanced (did someone say LMNT???) during longer workouts. Avoid sugary drinks and seriously consider limiting alcohol consumption during the week.
