The exec and outreach team at WSSO are extremely horrified and sad about what happened last night in Atlanta, as we are sure the rest of y’all are and we are still quite in shock about what’s happening so close to our own homes. We deeply mourn and grieve the 8 Asian lives lost in the mass shooting in Atlanta yesterday. WSSO denounces all forms of hate, violence, and discrimination, including Anti-Asian racism, sinophobia, and misogyny against Asian women. We also support and ally ourselves with the Asian students, faculty, and staff at the University of Georgia.
Join us this Thursday, March 18 at 7 p.m. for our joint meeting with & . We hope this meeting can serve as a healing space as we discuss Anti-Asian racism, Asian American feminism, and ways for you to support the Asian community in Atlanta.
For this meeting, please RSVP using the link in our bio. We hope to see you there!
We hope everyone, especially in the Asian community, is taking care of themselves right now. WSSO sends lots of love 💕
