Thank you to everyone who showed up and showed out today. We saw you this morning doing something hard—either running our “challenging” 5K course or pushing through our speedy 1K Fun Run. We celebrate you and your accomplishments!

Come by the Athens location of Fleet Feet Athens & Oconee today from 4:00 to 7:00 PM and pickup your 2026 Burks Ribbit Run presented by Fleet Feet and t-shirt (if you got one)!

If the weather is nice, look for the table out front. Volunteers will be wearing light tan t-shirts with a rainbow print – you can’t miss them.

Don’t forget to stock up on your last minute race needs while you’re at Fleet Feet. Whether that’s new socks, apparel or fuel – they have what you need! We strongly encourage you not to wait until Saturday morning.

Make it easy and swing by after today’s final Tree Frog Run Club practice (please don’t park in the Run Club pickup line) or after ASP. We strongly encourage you not to wait until Saturday morning!

🐸🤝🐨We’re excited to share that the Burks Elementary Ribbit Run has invited the Whitehead Road Elementary Run Club to join us for our March 7th 5K Race!

Like the Tree Frog Run Club at Burks, Whitehead Road’s Run Club is a grassroots after-school program. Bringing these two like-minded clubs together makes the Ribbit Run even more special.

These young runners may attend different schools now, but one day they’ll be at Clarke Central together. We think this is a wonderful opportunity to start building connections early — through miles, smiles and shared goals!

The Ribbit Run Race Committee is always trying to develop new ways to build a broader community event and hopefully we can give students a sense of belonging that stretches beyond their own schools.

We can’t wait to see our Tree Frogs and Koalas running strong together on Saturday, March 7th.
