ECT at OHIO

Students in the J. Warren McClure School of Emerging Communication Technologies at the Scripps College of Communication got the chance to learn about possible career paths and the state of the technology industry from those who came before them during McClure School Day 2024. On February 9th -11th the International Virtual Reality Healthcare Association (IVRHA) hosted the inaugural college student VR Healthcare Hackathon at Ringling College of Art and Design in Sarasota, Florida! Selected universities were invited to send three students to compete against other universities prototyping VR applications for healthcare problems. Competing for Ohio University were Jorge Castillo (MFA), Edmund Darko (MFA), and William Hamilton (HTC undergraduate). Ohio University finished third in this year’s competition!
