At FaceUp, not only do we want to celebrate your achievements, but also those who were there with you while it happened! Sara Wiggins describes her community, saying, "I have been a member at CrossFit Liberate for just under three months, and I already feel at home here! The community at CFL is so welcoming, kind, and encouraging. I have already made some amazing friends who are a huge part of why I get so excited to go to the gym every day! I am so thankful to be a member of CFL and am already dreading the day I will have to leave."

ATHLETE SPOTLIGHT: Josh Bridwell & Zach Baranowski

Josh has been doing CrossFit for two and a half years and is a member of CrossFit Liberate. When asked what his fitness journey has meant to him, Josh responded, “CrossFit has become an experience that I look forward to every day. I am doing things physically today that I never thought I would be able to do 2 years ago when I started taking my fitness more seriously. It is so satisfying to put in hard work and see results inside and outside of the gym.”

Zach has been doing CrossFit for three years and is also a member of CrossFit Liberate. When asked what his fitness journey has meant to him, Zach responded, “CrossFit for me has meant that I am able to test my perceived and actual limits every day. It is a daily opportunity to step out of my comfort zone with a hard-working and like-minded community.”

Josh submitted a screenshot of hitting a PR for a clean and jerk at 305. Zach shared a frozen frame of himself competing at the BCS classic in College Station, Texas.

The 2022 CrossFit Open is 8 days away, and it is the perfect time to step out of your comfort zone. There is always room for growth. You can achieve excellence in any area of your fitness; it’s entirely dependent on your choice to push yourself and face up to the challenge.
