Often, my job it just witnessing two people falling deeper in love with one another. It’s just a joy.

I have been reflecting a lot on the gift of intimacy we have with the Lord in the Eucharist. This moment and image has been returning in my mind a lot, reminding me of our intimacy with Christ.

In the same way that the simple touch of their hands brought calm to their restless hearts on this wedding day, His flesh to ours provides us unexplainable peace.

A new phrase I am sharing with y’all in this season is “capturing slivers of His beauty.”

The present moment is the greatest gift we can be given. In any given moment we are actively being loved by the Lord and the Holy Spirit is present within us. In photography, I’m capturing a sliver of beauty of the moment itself. I can’t capture the whole thing because in reality, I can’t capture your heart on a camera. You know that better than anyone. Only you and God know what’s occurring in your heart in the moment of an image.

So here is an image where I had the honor to capture a sliver of His beauty. The beauty of a husband and wife who are becoming one in thanksgiving with Our Lady.

Going to do a bit of an honest post.

Trying to figure out how this passion fits into my life is very confusing. One day, I know this is exactly what I am called to be doing and this is the way I know I can love the most intentionally. The other days I only see the ways I fail those who I am called to serve. I question my value in this space.

I stare at my work and only see the flaws. I glance at my friends and become jealous of their ability to pursue their dreams and it become reality, ignoring in my mind their struggles. I think about my goals and how slowly they come into fruition and disregarding the beauty of the growth I have been blessed with.

I share this in saying I question a lot, but I don’t question wanting to love you and thank you. I live in gratitude and that is the way I continue to step forward.

Sometimes I still think about these nights and just reminisce on the joy and the love present in moments like this. The fact that I was given this gift to spread love is one of the most intentional things. I am forever grateful - and grateful to you.
