A story I would like to share is when I decided to rent this space on Atco Ave I was in love with the hardwood floors. I thought they would be amazing for a yoga studio, give it a real old school vibe.
However I was not a fan of the current brown floor color, it would not have went with my color scheme.
So I decided to repaint the hardwood floors black. I had someone repaint the floors about 2 weeks before we were to open the studio. Once completed I thought they looked amazing (see pics).
A week before we opened I did a test class in the studio. It went great, except after the class the mats were totally adhered and stuck to the floor. There was no way to get the mats off the floor. I literally had to scrape them off with a plastic spatula. Not only was I nervous about opening a yoga studio I had this situation with the painted floors. I knew there there was no way I could keep the repainted black hardwood floor. I was devastated.
I was also in a panic because we were opening in a week and I had to find a solution.
Fortunately, we were able to get somebody in and put in our current vinyl flooring. Not my first choice but it would have to work.

Here we are 7 years later!
Lots of people have done yoga on this floor, about 1600 people. There have been a lot of sweat, a lot of breathing, a lot of shifting and lots of LOVE.
