Ham Radio Operators

Not much happening here on the edge of Eastern Pacific and no news is good news Monday morning as my FT5 scans for whatever may 🤠

I only have a few tubes kicking around my Shack and that's including the faux variety.
3-500Z circa 1988 in my Ameritron AL80
and 6K6 sweep tubes in Palomar 90A, but I don't even know what's in my Hammarlund HQ90

Some mornings I get mixed up about where, and how I share geeky content, but I'm still getting it shared🤪

I know a Ham who has radios in every room, but all those radios require antennas too. This is what the Landlord chooses to ignore after almost five years on the 6th floor of a hundred year old building that's likely the birthplace of Cable TV in Astoria Oregon. Barely visible in this shot are hanging lights in courtyard of Fort George, which is a Brewery in 2025, but in 1811 was a Military Outpost. My HF antenna is a Triband 10-15-20 efhw and my VHF/UHF is an Ebay find by N9TAX. I usually run 100 watts from home, but during contests I can get upward of a kilowatt on 110 volts AC Power
