Last week Apple announced iPadOS 26. When it is released this fall, it will bring with it a powerful new windowing system that allows users to fluidly resize app windows, place them freely, and open multiple windows simultaneously. This new system offers a more Mac-like multitasking experience with resizable windows, overlapping views, and the ability to switch between apps easily.

If you hate change, you will be able to turn this feature off. :-). We'll say more about that later this year once iPadOS 26 is released.
