I haven’t had a car since mid February this year and since 2/14/2022 I have: lost two babies, been recovering from a car accident, my Lilly Piggy girl passed away, my partner and I split up, my jewelry biz has been put on hold due to the car accident injury, I’ve been teaching special education at a high school in one of these toughest districts in the state, moved to my own studio in the city, taking hour round trips to work where I teach with Lyft (average $40-$60/day), dealing with some of the most intense mental health I have honestly ever faced in my life, and I have been losing my hearing after an ear infection (which greatly impacts my ability to function as I have a visual processing disability so I rely heavily on my hearing), I’ve had some consistent debilitating migraines, and I’m dealing with the neurological symptoms of “visual snow.”
It has been a really hard couple of years really, and I truly wasn’t sure if I was going to make it. Last week the insurance check came from the car accident I was in during October 2021, and I was able to use that as a down payment to buy my car on my birthday yesterday.
So here I am with my “happy crying, laughing birthday girl face with my car and no more Lyfts energy” on a New Moon in Ta**us and all kinds of planets and placements and Ta**us, and I am so filled with gratitude.
“It is always darkest before the dawn” barely scratches, the surface of where I have been the last few months. And I am glad I made it to this day.
