Drake Orchestras Shine at CASTA State Festival!

On Friday, April 11th, 2025, 104 talented students from Drake Middle School’s Intermezzo (7th grade) and Dragon (8th grade) Orchestras proudly represented their school at the CASTA Orchestra State Festival. Drake was the only middle school in all of Jeffco to qualify for this prestigious event—and impressively, two of the five total middle school orchestras performing at State were from Drake!

Both ensembles earned straight Superior (I) Ratings at the CASTA Regional Festival in March, qualifying them both for the State level with Superior Ratings Overall.

At CASTA State:
🎻 The Intermezzo Orchestra, youngest and largest ensemble to perform at State, earned a Superior Rating.
🎶 The Dragon Orchestra received an Excellent+ Rating, showcasing their dedication and musicianship.
We are incredibly proud of our students’ hard work, passion, and achievements. What an amazing accomplishment!
