Finding time to volunteer can be tough, but COVID has renewed the overall commitment of giving back with our time.
Whether itβs serving hot meals, mentoring children or sorting through donations, volunteers are an integral part of a non-profitβs success.

In 1996, an essay titled "Content is King" π was published on the Microsoft website - turning the saying into one of the most overused phrases of the last 16 years.
That said, in the essay, Bill Gates notes that "if people are to be expected to put up with turning on a computer to read a screen, they must be rewarded with deep and extremely up-to-date information that they can explore at will."
This statement still rings true (minus the turning on a computer because be honest, how many of you actually turn off your computer each day? π) in 2022.
If you want people to take the time to engage with your online community, you have to build content that delivers the right messages to your members at the right time.
In addition to that intentional content creation, it's important to help your members create habits of participation with a regular content schedule each week. That's why we have created this online community content calendar template π https://bit.ly/3pJ5GQt.

If you own a bakery, you don't advertise by putting a list of ingredients in the window. Instead, you show off your tasty treats, enticing people to walk through the door and engage with your business.
The same goes for emails. Give them the "cake" or "cookies" and they will click the link for the ingredients. That way they engage with your emails instead of losing interest. This helps both your ROI and deliverability.
