As a homeschool family, we are always looking for great teachers to come alongside us to teach those subjects that, quite honestly, I don’t want to, nor am I fully capable of teaching. Chemistry is definitely one of those classes. 😅
All four of our boys had Cindy Hyde
as their chemistry teacher, and whether it was in person or online, they had the absolute best experience!

Cindy is not only incredibly intelligent, (and I’m fairly certain she has more degrees than I can even keep track of 🤯), but she has this rare gift of truly loving her students. Not in a surface level, good teacher kind of way, but in a genuine, heart melting, sees each student for who they are kind of way.

She somehow balances it all perfectly, understanding that some students may be taking the class simply to meet a requirement, while at the same time gently and sometimes not so gently 😉 pushing them to rise higher than they ever thought they could.

And the crazy part? They actually want to meet that standard for her!

Chemistry could have easily been a dreaded, just get through it class in our house. Instead, it became something our boys respected, engaged in, and even enjoyed, and that is 100 percent because of Cindy.

We are so incredibly grateful for the role she has played in our boys’ education and lives. Teachers like her are rare, and when you find one, you hold onto them. ❤️
