Good morning family.

Yesterday was my 30th birthday.

I didn't celebrate it.

I started a new job that a friend of mine helped me get as a supervisor at a hospital.

Most people I know would have taken a day off to celebrate, eat some cake, binge their favorite shows or something right?

Just take a "Me Day"

But I've been thinking about the things that I want out of life and looking at the choices that I've made so far.

And they haven't been good.

Most of the time, I didn't know why I was doing something. I just did it. I didn't have an end goal, I didn't have a desire that I was chasing, nothing.

But now I do.

And that is making me focus more on what I have to do than how I want to feel.

Some of us don't know what we want.

I encourage you to sit down, think, reflect, and most of all pray about this.

Staying stagnant is a fast track to depression, watching the world moving faster and faster leaving you behind.

It doesn't feel good.

Believe me.

Time is not on your side, and this is reinforced for me everyday.

How we spend our time, is a direct reflection of what we hold dear, what is most important to us. And time is an asset that we cannot get back.

What we value is what we should invest our time in, and we should value things that have actual worth in this world and the next. Godly character, respect, honor, honesty, kindness; these things are of worth and bearing these fruits are a fast track to a life that is admired by man and favored by almighty God.

Cultivate these things.

Read the Bible. Be instructed by the spirit of God.
