I was setting up a couple of new Windows 11 laptops this weekend and I found they would not connect to network shares. I set up everything normally and no go.
Turns out that the 24H2 update being installed before the networking is set up is a no go!
I've found the workaround. No computer leaves my possession unless it can network. It may not be important for a client at the moment but at some point down the road the client may have another computer they need to access shared files on.

I have been unmotivated and uninspired so far this week as it has been overcast and cool after a few days of beautiful weather.

Well, I'm in the thick of it. March is a big conference down in Dana Point that I have to prep 50 computers for and assemble all the necessary networking gear and cables. To top it off I have 3 Crow's Nest shows this week.
I'm going to be ready to take a break near the end of the month.

I'm getting alerts that I need to verify my information regarding this page or it will be deactivated, it asks for the kind of information that a scamming phising bot would ask, I'm not gonna do it, if this page disappears I'll just create another one.
