Our custom persimmon 2 woods with a hard phenolic insert, a brass inlay and a thick gauge brass sole plate, with brass face screws. Perhaps even a brass backweight, more later. The feeling of hitting it on the screws. Custom fitted and made to order.

A view into Robbie's workshop at Bob Burns Golf. Custom fabricated phenolic face inserts with brass inlays are epoxied into persimmon fairway woods. Next, some trimming and sanding. We use industrial machinery, but a quite amount of hand work is still involved. These inserts with that brass inlay withstand the modern golf balls.

We build our persimmon heads and custom fabricate our face inserts from large sheets of phenolic with brass inlays. Still an art with machinery we have preserved, and Robbie's favorite clubs to make. Here's a view of one of our Limited Edition putter designs. These are made of stainless steel and feature milled faces. This one is finished in a satin black pvd color. It also has a wide sole design and a simple white sight line. Robbie is making these with True Temper stepless steel shafts. Each putter is sequentially numbered thru 100 in this style. Custom fitted and made to order.
