Last week, members of the Appleton Police Department joined community partners for Crisis Intervention Partners (CIP) Training, an important opportunity to strengthen collaboration and improve how we respond to individuals experiencing mental health crises. At APD, we recognize that effective crisis response requires more than law enforcement alone. It takes strong partnerships, shared knowledge, and a commitment to connecting people with the resources and support they need. Trainings like CIP help build those relationships and ensure we are better prepared to serve our community with compassion, understanding, and professionalism.
We are grateful to our partners at NAMI Fox Valley, Catalpa Health, and the Outagamie County Sheriff's Office for their collaboration, and continued dedication to improving mental health outcomes throughout our region. Together, we remain committed to enhancing our community's mental health response and ensuring that individuals and families facing behavioral health challenges receive the support they deserve. Thank you to everyone who participated and invested their time in making our community stronger and safer.
